Wavell Heights resident Maddy Thompson has reflected on her monumental 2018 which saw her represent the Australian Level 10 team at the New Zealand Championships.

The Delta Gymnastics product placed second overall and in the apparatuses finals and also won gold on bars.

The medal winning effort was even more special for Thompson given she had made the corresponding national team in 2017, only to withdraw after sustaining an ankle injury.
