A new luxury cocktail bar has just opened at Brisbane airport, and is already gaining a reputation as one of the most ‘Instagrammable’ airport restaurants in Australia.
Brisbane Airport Corporation has announced the opening of its newest restaurant, bakery, and cocktail bar The Common for passengers at Brisbane airport’s domestic terminal.
The Common is the newest outlet to open at the airport and it caters for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
With fantastic views out to the runway, travellers are able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a vast selection of tapas and share plates.
Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) opened the restaurant, which provides all-day breakfast and brunch, tapas, share plates, baked goods, the airports largest cocktail menu, as well as local and imported beers and wines.
Located on the Level 2 concourse, the new fit-out provides glassed off spaces from the airport, with natural light and modern decor that is claimed to be one of the most ‘Instagramable’ airport restaurants in Australia.
Martin Ryan, executive general manager at Brisbane Airport Corporation, said he was proud of the partnership with ARE.
“We are incredibly excited with the addition of The Common to our Domestic Terminal, as it offers an exciting menu and a unique atmosphere that we know passengers will love,” he said.
“It is an exciting time to welcome another store to the Brisbane Airport family.
“With passenger numbers continuing to grow, consumer confidence is undeniably returning and there is a real energy and buzz that can be felt when you are in the terminal.”
John Chapman, CEO of Airport Retail Enterprises agreed.
“The Brisbane team took the time during Covid to develop the flavour profile of this menu and I am excited to share the results with staff and customers in the terminal,” he said.
“Today’s opening (May 10) marks yet another step in the recovery of our business and the industry after a tough couple of years.”
Already a long-time tenant of Brisbane Airport’s Domestic Terminal, ARE operates a number of other stores onsite including Coffee Royal, Merlo, Graze Grill & Bar, Mezze ZaZa, New Farm Confectionary, Newstead Brewery, and Seeds by Bruno Loubet.
