Kedron man wins $63,000 in Keno jackpot

A KEDRON man is still in disbelief after discovering what he thought was a Keno win of a few dollars was a jackpot prize of more than $63,000.
The man held a Keno 8 Spot winning entry that scored a total prize of $63,221.
Sharing his excitement with a Keno official this afternoon, he recalled how he discovered his good fortune.

“I was sitting there and I saw a couple of my numbers pop up and I thought I must have won a couple of dollars,” he said.
“It was only when I was on the phone to Keno that I realised I’d won so much.
“It was such a nice surprise. I didn’t expect it at all.”
The regular Keno player thanked a spur of the moment decision for his win.
“For some reason I just thought I wouldn’t mark my entry this time, I’d just try a random entry and lo and behold, I won.
“I’ve never won anything before.
“I’ll put it aside for a while for my retirement and use it to go and visit my daughter in Western Australia.”
The man purchased his Keno 8 Spot winning entry at Kedron-Wavell Services Club.
