“I was sitting there and I saw a couple of my numbers pop up and I thought I must have won a couple of dollars,” he said.

“It was only when I was on the phone to Keno that I realised I’d won so much.

“It was such a nice surprise. I didn’t expect it at all.”

The regular Keno player thanked a spur of the moment decision for his win.

“For some reason I just thought I wouldn’t mark my entry this time, I’d just try a random entry and lo and behold, I won.

“I’ve never won anything before.

“I’ll put it aside for a while for my retirement and use it to go and visit my daughter in Western Australia.”

The man purchased his Keno 8 Spot winning entry at Kedron-Wavell Services Club.
