A popular wings restaurant has said its final goodbyes to its loyal customers, shutting its doors for the last time.
Wing Fury, on Junction Rd, in Clayfield, announced its sudden closure on Facebook on June 28.
“You know what sucks? Goodbyes,” the post read.
“This is the very last day you can eat Wing Fury as it’s closing its doors.”
The closure came as a shock to locals, with hundreds telling of their devastation.
“I’m gutted by this, you guys have been amazing. You got us through the uncertain times of Covid outbreaks, lockdowns etc and always came through with the goods,” Andrew Higgins posted.
“I dread to think of a future without your cheesy fries.’’
Georgie Victor said: “Oh geez this isn’t good news. I am so sorry to hear.’’
“We loved your chicken wings and always supported you, so sorry to hear you guys are closing.”
Wing fury said that, unlike artist Sam Smith, they weren’t good at goodbyes.
“It’s been absolutely gut wrenching,” they posted.
The owners served its final customers on Tuesday night, slashing their price to $1 for wings.
“It has been amazing,” the owners posted.
