THE Brisbane Entertainment Centre has cancelled or postponed two upcoming shows as a result of the coronavirus and is contacting organisers about rescheduling others.

ASM Global posted on the Boondall venue’s website that they were contacting promoters of concerts and organisers of events to discuss the potential to reschedule.

“Whilst we have been anticipating a variety of scenarios, it will take some time to resolve the arrangements for each event,” the website states.

Patrons will be advised of any changes to events and, should a ticketed event be cancelled, refunds will be automatically made directly to the original payment account.

“Due to the number of events affected and consequently the numbers of patrons involved, we would appreciate your patience in not calling us or Ticketek,” the website states.

The show Marvel Universe LIVE! was cancelled on Tuesday. All ticket holders to the April 11-13 shows will receive a refund.

The PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” show on May 9 has been postponed and an announcement about new dates “will be made in due course”. Ticket holders are encouraged to hold on to their tickets pending confirmation of new dates.

Other upcoming shows at the centre include: Tame Impala on April 18, So Pop 2020 on April 24 and Iron Maiden on May 4.

The Entertainment Centre was contacted for comment.
