Popular CBD eatery Botero House has closed and liquidators have been appointed in an effort to find new owners.
The Adelaide St cafe and restaurant opened in early 2016 to rave reviews for its unique menu, featuring outstanding coffee, and its “masterful’’ fitout.
SSNV Pty Ltd, formerly trading as Botero House, was listed as being in Members’ Voluntary Liquidation, with accountants Worrells appointed.
Botero’s Facebook page said it was “temporarily closed’’.
Quest Newspapers contacted Botero for comment.
Worrells confirmed it was seeking urgent expressions of interest and there was a possibility the business could reopen, subject to interest.
Founded in Maclean in NSW, husband-and-wife duo Bonnie Duyker and Quentin Le Naour opened the Adelaide St outlet after working with builders for a year to bring the historic, three-level 1920s space into the modern era.
