The Butcher is the Chef, Bracken Ridge

The Butcher is the Chef is renowned for its fresh cuts of meat and locally-sourced produce, many of which go hand-in-hand to create mouth-watering meals at home.

The Bracken Ridge butcher is a former finalist in making the best sausages in Brisbane, at one point boasting the unusual combination of pork, honey macadamia and melting chocolate.

For those seeking creativity without courage, there are sausage flavours a-plenty with the likes of lamb and gravy sausage, bacon, cheese and tomato sausage and steak and onion sausage.

The butcher frequently sells out of their meaty bones and peppery watercress combo, used to make a “boil up”.

The watercress is driven in directly from drought-stricken Stanthorpe, helping the farmers out west recover from one of their toughest dry-spells in decades.

Owner Anthony states he places customer service as his number one priority, and that dedication is reflected in the many loyal customers who return time and again to the shop at the Bracken Ridge Plaza on Norris Rd.

Karla Howard highly recommended the butcher on social media, writing that the staff offer “top quality meat and great advice every time we go”.

“The service is always 10 out of 10,” she said.

“Anthony, Luke and the rest of the team make you feel like family.”
