A raging fire set a vehicle and house alight in Stafford

Stafford home destroyed in 'suspicious' blaze

Wild video has captured the moment a van went up in flames outside a north Brisbane home this afternoon.

Police closed Victor St, Stafford, between Stafford Rd and Harold St as a plumber’s van, understood to be carrying gas bottles, was destroyed by the inferno.

The van was parked in the driveway of a Victor St home and the intense flames spread to one side of the house and its garage.

The street has lost power as a result of the event.

The blaze caused metres of black smoke over Stafford Rd, with the scenes, opposite a Bunnings Warehouse, causing a stir along the major road.

The fire was brought under control by 1.30pm and the house was from substantial damage.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said four people were assessed by paramedics but no one taken to hospital.

Police are on the scene investigating the events and traffic has been diverted away from the Victor St.
