Latest stage of Capestone development promises executive lakefront living

Plans for the latest stage of an estimated 1600-home estate catering to nearly 5000 residents north of Brisbane have been lodged and reveal lush lakeside townhouses.

PLANS have been lodged for a lakeside townhouse development in a sprawling estate in the north of Brisbane.

Capestone keeps growing in development-intense suburb

A material change of use for Stage 13B of the Capestone Residential Estate in Mango Hill was lodged last month and is scheduled to be decided upon soon.

The 8940 sq m site at 11, 21, 31 and 37 Lakeside Crescent in Mango Hill would accommodate 72 dwellings across four stages, with premium properties overlooking a planned lake.

The development would sit just to the east and within walking distance of the Mango Hill train station.

It would be bordered to the north and east by existing open space and a recreation area as part of the Capestone Estate, which a spokesman said already houses 1600 lots and nearly 5000 residents.

To the west of the planned Stage 13B site lies a vacant lot for an already approved shopping centre.

Properties would vary in size from one-bedroom (57 sq m) to 1.5 bedroom (66 sq m); two-bedroom (74 sq m); two-bedroom with upper floor (85 sq m); three-bedroom (128 sq m) and three-bedroom lakefront units (134 sq m).

A development report also mentioned four-bedroom, two-storey dwellings but the size of these were not available.

Plans showed 102 vehicle and 72 bicycle parking spaces for the complex.
