NORTH Brisbane is set for a sunny Friday hitting a top of 27 degrees, with a partly cloudy weekend and temperatures in the mid 20s.
Spring is getting warmer in north Brisbane, as shown in the chart above which tracks the long-term trend.
A typical spring day is one degree warmer now than it was 50 years ago.
Similar warming trends are recorded inland at Amberley, Archerfield and Logan, and on the coast at Cape Moreton.
Fast fact

In the meteorological study, a 'nice' day for citydwellers is warm (18 to 29 degrees) with low humidity, no rain, light winds, and at least some blue sky.
Alice Springs and Mildura followed Brisbane, each with 81 'nice' days per year, while Darwin had the least 'nice' days, with only three.
Voices from your community
Ferny Grove resident of 24 years, John Jordaan, has noticed local weather changes through his work in lawn mowing and garden maintenance.
"This year seemed to have more hot days over 30 degrees," he says.
"It has been drier in the creek. It's been very dry for plantings (so I) need to look at watering more, which costs money."
