Summer is here, so grab your goggles, swimmers, towel and dive into Burpengary Big Splash on December 7. Here’s everything you need to know before taking the plunge.

Slip, slide and splash into your weekend, with the Burpengary Big Splash on December 7.

The family event will have exclusive use of Burpengary Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre, with plenty of activities on offer in and out of the pool.

It follows the first big splash event, held in March to coincide with the opening of the centre. It was so popular, council’s bringing it back.

You can get the adrenaline pumping on giant indoor pool inflatables, chill out in the outdoor leisure pool or join in activities on offer throughout the centre.

Free activities will be provided from 10am including inflatable water slides, giant pool inflatables, indoor pool games such as noodle races, bingo, freeze, best water dancer, and beach games such as flag, egg and spoon, and sack races.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, tuck into your favourite flavour at the mini ice-cream festival.

Alcohol and glass are not permitted.

From noon, activities will finish and the centre will return to normal operation and regular entry fees will apply.
