A CRAFT beer bar described by its owner as “having an atmosphere more like a coffee shop that’s licensed’’ has developed quite a following in its first year at Lawnton.
Crow n Arrow’s general manager Graham Scott says his concept for the bar was to provide somewhere for over 35s seeking a quiet drink, but he’s been taken by surprise at the mix of his patrons.
It seems 20-somethings are also looking for a laid-back bar to meet their mates.
The bar has the largest range of craft beers on the northside, with more than 50 brews from small breweries, with an emphasis on South East Queensland brewers.
The six beers available on tap change every week so there’s always something new to try. The bar also offers a full spirit range, cocktails and a wine list.
Alternating food trucks arrive on Friday and Saturday nights and Sundays from 3pm.

IT’S hard to beat good avocado on toast and that’s why it’s a firm customer favourite at Lawnton’s Wheelhouse Coffee cafe.
Manager Lauren Scott says she wouldn’t dare remove the popular staple from her menu. The family-run cafe that’s been serving its loyal base in Lawnton for five years prides itself on providing only homemade cakes or those from local bakers.
The rustic all-wood interior is a welcome respite for locals when they call in for their coffee supplied by Queensland-based Wolff.
When Lauren’s customers feel the need for something a little stronger, there’s always her dad’s craft beer bar next door.
