A 19-year-old real estate PA, who has only just bought his first house, says he can’t believe his overnight rise to internet — and roadside — fame.
Jayden Nipperess from Ray White Caboolture (that’s his catch phrase these days) shot to fame after filming a monologue on his phone as he handed out flyers in his local neighbourhood.
He was amazed when it was viewed more 267,000 times on his Instagram handle, with many comparing him to the cult American Pie character Sherminator.
The real estate video, which debuted on May 9, has now landed him numerous endorsement deals including with Queensland drinks brand Hard FIZZ.
“I honestly can’t believe it,” Jayden laughed.
“I simply filmed myself doing some door knocks, which is my job, and people seemed to love it.
“I’ve been recognised a few times on a night out — it’s wild.
“It’s the red hair and deep voice. I know what I’ve got to work with, so I may as well run with it.
“Ultimately, if it’s putting smiles on people’s faces, I’m all for it.”
Since that first viral monologue, Jayden’s Instagram followers have skyrocketed from a handful of school mates to more than 2300 followers on @jaydennipperess.raywhite.
Other businesses to reach out to Jayden included surfwear brand Rusty, Tooletries, ATP Science and Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers.
Jayden has continued to film real estate monologues showing off his role as personal assistant to Ashley Anderson at Ray White Caboolture.
His original monologue was spotted by Hard FIZZ within minutes of it being posted to his handle.
Coincidentally, the brand was about to launch a new Orange flavour.
They got in touch and asked him to film a similar on-camera review of the zesty drink, with a few cheesy puns (eg won’t leave you feeling ginger).
That clip also went viral, with his mop of distinctive red hair now emblazoned on 20 billboards around the southeast, out to Toowoomba and as far north as Mackay.
“We did a photoshoot down on the Gold Coast — it was so much fun,” he said.
“I dressed up in an orange suit and now I’m on a billboard.
“I can’t believe it, it’s actually weird looking up and seeing yourself on such a big sign.
“I can’t thank the FIZZ guys enough for bringing me onboard.
“Two months ago, I was just starting out in real estate filming social media clips.
“Property is my real goal though. So I’m not joking, if anyone needs an appraisal done around Caboolture, I’m your guy.”
He and partner Amelia Smith, also 19, moved into their first home at Morayfield three weeks ago.
Jayden said he worked two jobs simultaneously since the age of 13 including at McDonalds and Drakes, relentlessly saving and following his parents’ advice to work and save.
It was during his quest for a new home that Jayden fell in love with real estate and pursued a career.
Jayden, who grew up in Elimbah and attended Caboolture State High School, applied and got a role with Ray White Wamuran.
He moved with the team to the opening of its new Caboolture office.
While his striking blue eyes and bright red hair grabbed attention, it was his deep and baritone voice that has captivated the public.
But he confessed he did not know where it came from.
“My brother and dad have what I would call a normal, manly, deep voice,’’ he said.
“I used to referee when I was 12 shouting at people left right and centre.
“Every two weeks I’d lose my voice so maybe it was that.”
Jayden’s mother and brother are the only ones in his family with brown hair.
His father and two sisters both proudly redheads.
The 19-year-old is a regular at the Caboolture Touch Football Club, having played since the age of six.
His father’s love for cars has also rubbed off on Jayden, who bought a Toyota 86 at the age of 17, as it was “the most power he could get on his Ps’’.
“Dad has a HJ Monaro and any spare minute, I will help him build a classical model,” Jayden said.
“He also has another nice V8. We love the sound of the engine.
“Down the track I want to get a V8 but I’ll have to wait till I’m off my Ps.”
Moving forward, the 19-year-old internet sensation wanted to become the number-one real estate agent in Caboolture.
“I’m always gonna stay in real estate because of the feeling of making sellers and buyers happy in their life changing moments,” he said.
“It’s wonderful when sellers say ‘thanks Jayden, you’ve saved us $40,000’.
“It originally started off as getting money, I needed money.
“But getting into it I realised all the good I can do.
“I had a buyer that said they’ve been looking for two years and called me a fallen angel.
“I’d love to thank Ray White Wamuran, Caboolture and Ashley Anderson, who took me under her wing.
“Without them I wouldn’t have got into this career.”
