White Brick in Brisbane has some of the best beer in the country

After only six months in business a North Lakes brewer is celebrating after winning three major awards.

Some of the best craft beers in Australia are brewed in North Lakes.

Local firm White Brick Brewing won awards at last month’s Australian International Beer Awards held in Melbourne.

“We submitted four beers, won three medals and were only half a point off a medal with the fourth,” said owner/brewer Adam Gibb.

“The Petrie Pilsener won a silver medal with the Samsonvale Stout and Brickworks Mild Bitter winning bronze medals.

“This is a fantastic result for a brewery that opened its doors less than six months ago and has been embraced by the local community,”

“The awards are a validation of the quality of the beer we are producing.

“There were 2200 beers submitted and medals are based on merit.

“We think our beers taste great and we have been receiving positive feedback and reviews from our customers for all our beers since opening.

“This is industry recognition that our beers compare well with other Australian and international beers.

“Our equipment is state of the art and we use the highest quality ingredients. Our customers love being able to see the tanks knowing that the beer they are drinking is so fresh.”

“We are planning a beer, food and music festival at the brewery on Sunday, June 17, and this gives us another reason to celebrate.”

There will be nine beers and a cider on tap, food trucks on site and live music at the event which starts at noon.

A beer and food event is also planned for July 19.

White Brick Brewing is at 9 Flinders Parade, North Lakes.
