Caboolture father of four Michael Kevin Sharp is being remembered by loved ones as ‘the most honest and helpful man’ by friends and family following his sudden death last week.
Michael Kevin Sharp died at the corner of Oaklands Drive and Morayfield Road, Caboolture South, on May 5 due to a suspected heart attack.
The 59-year-old had left to pick up his eldest son from work, when his wife saw a Facebook post of the emergency.
“(My mum) told my sister and brother to go check and they did, finding him with the paramedics, getting the last 10 minutes of CPR,” his daughter Sheridan Sharp recalled.
“We all got to say goodbye to him while he was on the road with the police.”
Mr Sharp’s daughter, Sheridan Sharp, spoke of how kind her father was and what he did for their family.
“Dad was the most honest helpful man, he supported my mum through her disability she got in 2014, he raised four kids, he helped his mum brother and sister.
“He would make the stupidest jokes and often steal my phone and say my sister had hid it from me.
“He loved coming to nightclubs with his daughters and pubs with me.”
Mr Sharp worked as a security guard at Centrelink, and previously at the Sydney signal box for over three decades.
A GoFundMe page has been created by a family friend, Belinda Collier, in order to support Mr Sharp’s family during this tough time.
“Michael was the main breadwinner and the career for his wife, who is left with a disability after accident at work,” Mrs Collier said.
“The Sharp family are a close and supportive family however with this sudden loss they are now set to lose the source of income for the family.
“Please help this family with the cost of the funeral and future income.”
Tributes have flown for the Caboolture Dad, with many feeling for the family’s loss.
“I love you with all my heart, I will forever miss you Michael. You were such a great dad and husband with such a loving soul. I love you guys so much I wish I could do more,” Monica Bhuiyan wrote.
“So sorry to hear of your families loss,” Sharon Hill posted.
Daughter, Sheridan Sharp said the family is dealing with the loss as best as they can.
“(We’re) Okay I think,” she said.
“The pain comes in waves, we are all right one minute then crying the next.”
