Federal LNP MP for Petrie Luke Howarth has promised to fund three major road upgrade projects north of Brisbane.
If the LNP is re-elected at the May 18 Federal Election, Moreton Bay Regional Council will receive $4 million to upgrade the Henry Rd and Dohles Rocks Rd intersection.

And other $4 million to upgrade the intersection of Klingner Rd and Boardman Rd at Kippa-Ring.
Henry Rd, used ye residents to travel from Murrumba Downs and Griffin to North Lakes and Redcliffe, is flood prone, has no line markings or lighting.
The intersection of Klingner and Boardman roads, is heavily congested especially during school drop off and pick up times.
Brisbane City Council will receive $50 million towards the $100 million project to upgrade Beams Rd between Lacey Rd and Handford Rd at Carseldine from two lanes to four.
“The projects will help thousands of people living in our community and all across Queensland,” Mr Howarth said.
Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population Alan Tudge said “by managing money and running a strong economy we are able to invest record funding in road and rail projects which improve the lives of so many Queenslanders”.
“This funding will fix local traffic pinch points and bottle necks that have the most impact on congestion, helping everyone get home sooner,” he said.
It will be up to the councils to work out the exact details of the road projects.
