Temporary traffic lights were due to be installed today as part of construction work on the underpass beneath the Bribie Island Bridge.
Work, which began in April, is due to finish by the end of June.
Council will install temporary traffic lights on Benabrow Avenue today, within the current temporary pedestrian management site, to improve the flow of traffic through the area and the safety of workers on site.
The temporary traffic lights will be manually operated by the traffic controllers.
Design works for the repairs were completed in March after TC Oma swept through the region, damaging the Bribie Island Bridge underpass.

A Moreton Bay Regional Council spokesman said the total value of the project was around $700,000.
“This includes contracts for the design, repair work and traffic management on site,” he said.
“Traffic controllers have been on site since mid-March when the risks to pedestrians crossing Benabrow Ave were identified.
“Wages are a matter for the contractor and it would be inappropriate for council to comment.”
