A suburb north of Brisbane will soon be home to two $1 million playgrounds.

Central Springs, Caboolture is currently building a massive new park — only months after Riverbank officially opened its $1 million park.

Central Springs developers QM Properties said the project is due for completion in late January.

“Once complete, some of the features of the extensive play land will be swings, climbing platforms and slides,” a QM Properties spokeswoman said.

“There will also be a number of tables and benches in the area with BBQs.

“The large Central Springs lake is also a part of the park, which is a really nice feature.

“The bike paths that surround the park also connect to the paths around the lake, making it a very enjoyable walk or ride.

“There is a large amount of playground equipment going into the park and a basketball court.

“A unique feature is the two 30-metre long flying foxes that will be included. Most parks don’t have flying foxes that long.

“There will be extensive landscaping and planting throughout the area as well.”

The new park will be located at the end of Hollyhock Place.

An official park opening will be on Wednesday, February 6 at 10am.
