The man, who’s identity has not yet been revealed by the CCC, is the second person linked to Moreton Bay Regional Council charged by the CCC in the past few weeks.
Cr Adrian Raedel was charged with one count of corruption on June 27.
A CCC spokesman said Cr Raedel “corruptly received benefits including a sum of money, prepaid travel, accommodation and advertising”.
Cr Raedel, who had planned on running for the seat of mayor, was suspended from his role as a councillor and said he would fight the charges.
The latest person charged by the CCC is expected to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 27 where he will face one count of official corruption contrary to section 87(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
As the investigation remains ongoing and this matter is now before the court, the CCC would not comment further.
