RSPCA Queensland Moreton Inspector Steffi Schubert confirmed they were investigating the birds’ cause of death.

“It was reported that there were five crows but by the time we got there, there was only one,” she said.

“They were found deceased and we are not yet sure what the cause of death is.”

Ms Schubert said if anyone in the community spotted people throwing bait or other dead birds, particularly those found in groups, to report it to the RSPCA on 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625).
