Revealed: Caboolture’s best childcare educator

We were swamped with entries for our Facebook reader poll in which we asked you to name Caboolture’s best childcare sector worker. But there can only be one winner, and here she is.

Cost of childcare in Australia is ‘perplexing’

Amanda Nitschke from Superheroes Early Learning has been named our area’s best childcare sector worker in Caboolture Herald’s reader Facebook poll.

Ms Nitschke, who has been involved in the industry for six years, was the standout choice in a crowded field.

With so many childcare centres in Caboolture, it is hard to get noticed, but in the three months since Superheroes opened it has gone from zero to a 50 per cent occupancy rate.

“I’ve been a centre manager at childcare centres for about five years, because it’s important to stay connected with the children and you can do that in this role,’’ she said.

“I think (winning the Facebook reader poll) has a lot to do with empowering children and working hard to build relationships with families — that’s what really sets us apart.

“We have 22 educators. One of the things I’m most passionate about is mentoring educators to be the best they can be, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.

“Around Caboolture I’ve noticed there’s a real demand for quality and that’s what I try to provide.
