Redcliffe police charge 23 people with more than 111 offences after major drug trafficking bust

23 people have been charged with more than 111 offences on Brisbane’s northside after a major police investigation found cash, firearms, meth, cannabis and steroids.

Redcliffe police have charged 23 people with more than 100 offences after six month police investigation Operation Uniform Hedgehog uncovered more than $15,000 in cash, two firearms, more than 12 grams of meth, more than 600 grams of cannabis and vials of steroids.

The 23 people were charged with trafficking, supplying and possession of dangerous drugs and possession of weapons.

On March 16 police located dangerous drugs, including cannabis and methylamphetamine at a Clontarf address.

A 40-year-old Clontarf woman was charged with two charges of trafficking, 11 offences of supplying a dangerous drug and two for possession of a dangerous drug.

She is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 27.

A search warrant was executed by Redcliffe police at a Deception Bay address on June 14 which uncovered amounts of steroids, a shortened .22 calibre firearm, cash, gamma hydroxybutyric (GHB), cannabis, an electric conductive device, and two scooters believed to be stolen.

The 39-year-old Deception Bay man was charged with three charges of possessing a dangerous drug, possession of drug utensils, three weapons related offences and possession of property believed to be from the proceeds of a drug offence.

He is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on December 1.

On July 12 police executed a search warrant uncovering dangerous drugs including, methylamphetamine and butanediol, at a North Lakes residence.

The 53-year-old North Lakes woman was charged with 12 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, five counts of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug utensils and possession of tainted property.

She will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates court on October 5.
