Elderly man dies after horror crash at Brendale

A man in his eighties has died in hospital after a horror crash north of Brisbane on Friday.

An man has died after he was hit by a car which left him with critical injuries at Brendale on Friday.

Just before 11am, a Hyundai i30 was reversing before it hit an elderly man walking across the road and collided with a fence at Demarco Court.

The 86-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he later passed away.

The 81-year old woman who drove the car was treated for minor injuries.

Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
