Plans for a large healthcare hub with multiple medical tenancies have been lodged for a site across the road from a busy hospital north of Brisbane.
Keymax North Lakes Pty Ltd has lodged a development application (DA) with the City of Moreton Bay for the centre at 101 Anzac Ave in Redcliffe near the Redcliffe Hospital.
To be called the Redcliffe Healthcare Hub, the five-storey building would include a cafe, pharmacy and medical uses on the ground level, plus two levels of parking and two levels of medical tenancies on levels two-five.
There would also be a GP Clinic, dental services, radiology, physiotherapy, specialist medical, allied health and a pharmacy.
The 1282 sqm gross floor area healthcare hub would be open from 6.30am to 7.30pm and included 40 on-site parking spaces.
A house and associated buildings on site would be demolished.
Keymax has begun advertising leasing opportunities, ahead of the building’s expected completion late next year.
It was offering flexible tenancy options starting from 78 sqm, with signage opportunities, ambulance bay for patient transport, disability access and excellent access via Anzac Ave.
“The proposed building has been designed to activate the street frontages through a built form that provides connectivity with the footpath areas at street level, consistent with the desired streetscape outcomes for centre areas under the MBRC Planning Scheme,” the application read.
“Consistent with modern integrated medical centre facilities, the proposed use includes tenancies that can provide for a range of health care tenancies plus associated uses such as a pharmacy and cafe.
“Landscaping and associated streetscape works will be provided to the road frontages of the site to complement and soften the built form and activate the spaces between the building and the footpath/verge areas.
“The building has been designed to activate the corner of Anzac Ave and Percy St, with all tenancies, both at ground level and above, oriented to the street with substantial glazing interfacing with the frontage.
“Building projections integrated with the design assist to provide pedestrian shelter and articulation to the built form, and streetscape improvements to the verge will also be undertaken to complement the built form.”
