People camped out overnight in order to secure a year supply of free burgers from southeast Queensland’s newest Carl’s Jr restaurant.

PEOPLE camped overnight in order to secure a year supply of free burgers from southeast Queensland’s newest Carl’s Jr restaurant.
The restaurant franchisee by The Bansal Group, opened at the new Rothwell Village development on Thursday morning.
Rothwell resident Anne Brinkmann camped out at the new store, on the corner of Deception Bay and Morris roads, from 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
When asked why she said: “Because life is an adventure”.
Ms Brinkmann said it was worth the wait and said she would definitely be back.
The Young family from Deception Bay, with mum Michelle, dad Nathan and children Lydia and Hayden, also camped out overnight.
Hayden said he thought his mum was a little bit crazy when she suggested camping out for a free burger.
“We slept in the car last night, we thought why not, we had nothing else to do,” Mrs Young said.
Youngster Alexander Johnston camped out overnight with his dad.
He rated the burgers 100 out of 100.
A spokeswoman from The Bansal Group said the opening “was up there” with some of the busiest”.
It is the franchises first freestanding drive through restaurant to open on the north side of Brisbane and the sixth in Queensland.
More than 100 team members have been hired so far.
