Mystery surrounds why a popular kebab and Turkish restaurant in Caboolture has closed, with customers and the community left wondering what happened.
Ozi Kebab Pide & Charcoal Grill, at Morayfield Market Plaza, reportedly closed three to four months ago according to a worker at the shopping centre.
“One day they were there and one day they weren’t,” the worker said.
“I’ve been waiting to see our centre manager, he’s not here often, to ask him about it.”
Ozi Kebab’s phone number has been disconnected and its Facebook page says the store is permanently closed.
Located at shop 12, Ozi Kebab moved into the space previously occupied by Fasta Pasta and Jenny Craig.
A post on Facebook sparked an outpouring of questions from residents.
One man posted that when he needed a good kebab fix, they were the best option around.
Another lady posted: “I‘d like to know as well, hasn’t been open for ages’’.
Another woman wrote: “My son loves them... in my opinion they are great value for money’’.
Ozi Kebab specialised in Turkish food, including kebabs, dips, charcoal meat platters and desserts, offering both dine in and takeaway.
