A Mango Hill man has appeared in court after police allegedly found a homemade gun and a number of illegal drugs in his car.
Trent Peter Murray Evans appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on February 25.
He is charged with seven offences including carrying a loaded gun in public, possessing explosives, unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing property used in relation to a drug offence, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.
Mr Evans surrendered to the court this morning, after a warrant issued for his arrest due to him failing to appear on February 24.
The court heard that on February 1 Evans was spotted by police standing next to a car at Finnegan St, Rothwell in the middle of the day.
During a search of the car police allegedly found a metallic homemade handgun, loaded with a 12 gauge shotgun cartridge in a sports bag, the court heard. A quantity of cannabis and oxycodone tablets were also found along with drug paraphernalia.
