Man in his 20s dies after a horror smash at Ocean View

A man in his 20s has died after an horrific accident on a rural road north of Brisbane.

A young man has died after his car smashed into a tree at Ocean View, a small town north of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle accident about 11am on Friday.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the Mitsubishi Outlander had come off the road and collided with a tree.

Paramedics attended the site on Mount Mee Rd and Freds Rd to assess one patient in a critical condition.

He later died at the scene.

It’s understood he was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to come forward.
