Harrison Lee has bounced his way into the Australian junior trampolining team but he has his eyes on a much higher goal.
The 14-year-old Kippa-Ring teen took up the sport when he was eight.
“I loved being out on the trampoline and was teaching myself tricks,” Harrison said.
“My mum wanted me to learn properly and do it in a safe environment.”

He has been selected in the Australian Junior Squad after winning gold and silver at the state age championships.
Harrison was also a finalist in the trampoline and double mini trampoline at the 2019 National Gymnastic Championships.
His achievements have earned him a nomination in this year’s Local Sports Stars competition.
He trains at the Redcliffe PCYC, under coach Lyn Gilroy, four days a week, for three hours at a time.
“To maintain my fitness I do a run each morning and ride to and from school most days,” Harrison said.
“Making sure that I get enough sleep and nutrition is also a major part of my training routine. “Stretching every night for 20- 30 minutes is a vital part of my training.”
The ambitious teen said he loved “everything” about the sport.
Including the “feeling of achieving a new skill, competing, training with and making new friends”.
Harrison will head to his first national training camp in Newcastle next month.
The trip is self-funded. He will also have to raise the money for the trip to Japan if selected to compete in the world age championships in December.
Harrison said his ultimate goals were to compete at the world junior championships, the junior Olympics, World Championships and Olympic Games.
