Tributes are flowing for a Caboolture man killed in a collision at Caboolture earlier this month.
Kade Lucas Smith, 19, was riding his KTM dirt bike north on Pumicestone Rd about 6pm on July 5 when he was involved in a collision with a Ford Ranger driven by a 62-year-old Caboolture man.
He died at the scene and investigations are continuing into the cause of the accident.
Brooklyn Smith fondly remembers her brother Kade for his devotion to riding his dirt bike, and as someone who could light up any room with his presence.
“If there was one thing Kade was known for it was riding dirt bikes and was always wheeling up the street any chance he could get,” she said.
She said he was an “irreplaceable presence.”
“Kade was the type of person that never liked to sit still, he was alway wanting to go do something, whether it was riding, fishing four-wheel driving and spending time with the family or his partner Brooke,” she said.
“The most loyal friend, and irreplaceable presence in our life.”
Kade, who worked as a concreter, spent his weekends enjoying rides or socialising at the pub with his friends.
“Kade was always keen to go to the pub for a feed and order a nice steak and mash potato and creamy garlic sauce,” she said.
“Kade absolutely loved his niece Willow, he would always be wanting to buy her new things and give her a big cuddle.”
Ms Smith said Kade was a family man and he “lived life to the fullest.”
“He always put a smile on everyone’s face he crossed paths with,” she said.
The family has launched a fundraiser to cover the costs of his funeral.
The other man involved in the crash was not physically injured.
Any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV vision is urged to contact police.
Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the crash remain ongoing.
