A FOUR-STOREY apartment building that will include ground-level shops has been proposed for vacant land at Mango Hill.
Kinsella Heights Developments Pty Ltd on Monday (January 7) lodged an application for the 23-unit building at 2 Ellison Pde, in the Capestone estate.
If approved, the building would be situated next to the Kidz Magic childcare centre.

The planning report by planners Peak Urban stated the building “represents the highest and best use of a site that is centrally located within close proximity of the future commercial hub of Capestone together with nearby Moreton Bay Rail Line and the extensive open space and recreation network throughout the estate.”
The building would contain three commercial tenancies at ground level which could be used for a cafe, restaurant, office or shop.
The 23 residential units would be made up of six one-bed apartments and 17 two-bed apartments.
“The proposed unit mix will provide a selection of accommodation types at varying price
points which will directly respond the target demographic envisaged within this area,” the report stated.
“Importantly, the mix of dwelling sizes and configurations ensures an overall design and
building form that promotes maximum visual interest and attractiveness to the streetscape.”
Access to the site will be through an existing two-way driveway off Ellison Pde that is
shared with the childcare centre.
A total of 23 on-site car parks have been proposed for the building — one for each unit — along with a further six spaces for the commercial tenancies.
