Cr Allan Sutherland has likely performed his final act as mayor of Moreton Bay
The CCC alleged that Mr Raedel corruptly received benefits including a sum of money, prepaid travel, accommodation and advertising.
Mr Raedel has stated he will fight the charges.
“For the time being, defending myself is going to take everything,” Cr Raedel said after being charged by the CCC.
The matter was mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 20 and adjourned to October 6.
The allegations against Mr Raedel related to dealings with his long-time political donor, developer Tosh Murphy.
Mr Raedel unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Moreton Bay at the last election, while suspended from his role as councillor.
He was automatically suspended from his duties as councillor after being charged by the CCC, as per the legislation.
