Fears for missing young boy last seen a week ago on busy Brisbane road

Detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a little boy, believed to be no older than eight, last seen walking alone on the side of a busy Brisbane road at night.

Police officers hold concern for the welfare of a boy, described as six to eight-years-old, last seen walking alone on the side of Deception Bay Road and Anzac Ave at Rothwell, October 20 around 6.30pm.

Detectives from Redcliffe are appealing for public assistance to locate the child who is 160 centimetres tall, solid build, pacific island appearance and last seen wearing a black T-shirt with skulks on it, board type shorts and no shoes.

Investigators are also appealing for the occupants of a white van seen in the area at the time to contact police.

Anyone who is able to assist with the identification on the boy, or who was in the area at the time and has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
