Drug trafficking matter adjourned to allow police more time to collate lengthy report

A drug trafficking case has been adjourned to allow police officers more time to contact the 60 witnesses and compile a lengthy report.
Sonny Brandon Jenkins, 28, of Caboolture, is charged with trafficking a dangerous drug (methylamphetamine) and receiving property related to the trafficking or supply of drugs between April 25 2019 and November 19, 2019.

The matter was heard in the Caboolture Magistrates Court by Magistrate Hackett today.
Queensland Police Prosecutor Sergeant Jackson told the court the officer in charge of compiling the brief was working on it every shift.
Sgt Jackson said the brief was so far 120 pages long.
Sgt Jackson said police had encountered issues contacting the 60 witness due to current COVID-19 situation.
The matter was adjourned until June 16.
