Buckley Rd, Burpengary shopping centre businesses damaged in break-ins

Three Moreton Bay businesses have been extensively damaged in a brazen break and enter spree at a shopping complex, with one of the alleged offenders captured on CCTV.

Three small Moreton Bay businesses have been extensively damaged in alleged break and enters that have been captured on CCTV.

Police are investigating three break and enter offences that occurred at a Buckley Rd, Burpengary shopping centre.

An alleged offender was captured on CCTV at the location.

On June 17, about 3am, three separate stores were targeted and cash stolen.

Police said entry was gained to the back of the shops via a wooden gate and a mop used to cover a CCTV camera.

It was alleged a person then turned off the power to all of the external lighting at the premises by switching off various switches in the external power box.

The rear door at one of the stores was damaged.

Once inside, an offender has turned off the power to the store.

The cash register draw and printer were damaged and cash stolen from the employee tip money.

A second business had its rear timber door damaged in an attempt to gain entry.

An offender also smashed the front glass door of the business to gain entry.

A search was conducted of the store and four bum bags with cash, used as floats for delivery drivers, were stolen.

Entry was gained to a third store, which was vacant.

Damage was caused to the rear door to gain entry.

Considerable damage has been caused to these local businesses to gain entry.
