Boxer charged after allegedly stabbing woman in the head

A 26-year-old boxer who police allege brutally stabbed a woman multiple times, including in the head, has been charged and will remain behind bars until at least next year.

A 26-year-old boxer who police allege stabbed a woman multiple times will remain behind bars on remand until at least next year.

Aaron Samuel Sesay was arrested on Sunday night and charged with multiple offences including wounding.

Mr Sesay, who is still in custody, was represented by duty lawyer Anthony Stewart, and was not required to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today.

Police will allege Mr Sesay stabbed a woman multiple times, including in the head, after an incident at Sienna St, Morayfield at about 8.30pm on November 22.

The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition with multiple stab wounds.

Mr Sesay did not apply for bail.

Magistrate Mark Bucknall ordered police prepare briefs of evidence and adjourned the matter for a committal mention on January 11.
