A 10-year project, set to reshape the face of Caboolture, has begun.
Demolition works started last week to pave the way for stage one of Bolton Clarke Fernhill Residential Aged Care’s $48 million redevelopment.
It’s positioned across the road from Caboolture Square shopping centre on King St and 200 metres from the town square.
Construction is expected to follow shortly on the first state-of-the-art multi-storey residential aged care building for 162 residents, which should be complete in late 2020.

“It will include modern, accessible rooms in a secure building with the latest enabling technology, and a world class dementia care environment,” Bolton Clarke general manager James Mantin said.
“It is designed to promote choice and freedom with quiet spaces, way-finding support and an indoor-outdoor environment.
“The collaborative masterplan was co-designed with residents, their families, friends and community members and will replace existing facilities with the latest innovations in aged care and retirement living.”
The project was named runner-up in the Best Silver Architecture (In-Construction) category at the Asia Pacific Eldercare Awards in 2018.
The Fernhill site was originally home to a luxury mansion in 1927 before it was turned into the region’s first war veterans’ homes.
Caboolture Memorial Bowls Club made way for the development after 69 years for the development to take place.
