Ausbuild, the developer behind a plan to build a 300-home community north of Brisbane has revealed the next stage of its development.
The developer hopes to transform 54 Warner Road into a 129 lot estate and 102 new homes.
Its first application for the 129 home estate was initially rejected by Moreton Bay Regional Council after community backlash.
But it was approved by the Planning and Environment Court late 2020 after a mediation process between council and residents.
Lot sizes are proposed to range from 325 sqm to 727 sqm.
This application is still before council with the community consultation period closing on April 23.
In a poll conducted by The Pine Rivers Press – 75 per cent of voters said they did not want to see the existing rural land carved up to make way for the proposed estate.
Ausbuild have now lodged an application seeking approval to build a child care centre as part of the estate.
The daycare at 54 Warner Rd, is proposed to cater for 142 children.
If approved the centre will have a floor area of 888.5m sq and 49 carparks.
The application, lodged with council on April 9, says the centre will be built in an L-shape including a large outdoor area and verandas.
Inside will feature rooms specifically tailored for the needs of each age group such as a bottle prep room, sleep rooms and art rooms.
There will also be a designated parent hub and a staff retreat.
The application states the developer is yet to decided what it plans to do with the remaining 600m sq of the site – the report hints it could be used for retail or commercial purposes.
