YET another service station will be built in Kallangur after the council approved a new major development on Anzac Ave.

At its August 14 committee meeting councillors unanimously approved, with conditions, an application to build a service station, office space, health care services space and four potentially 24-hour food outlets at 1613 Anzac Ave.

It is the third service station approved on the section of road this year, making seven in total.

The new development will consist of multiple buildings and is situated between Anzac Ave, Brays Rd, Cecily St and the Murrumba Downs train station.

The application, by LandPartners Limited on behalf of Dominique Developments, had previously come to the council on May 29 but was deferred with council staff not satisfied with a number of aspects of the proposal.

The developer, while getting the proposal through the council this time around, still has a lot of work to do in order to meet the stringent conditions placed in the approval.

These include providing new easements, building internal roadways, submitting amended plans and planting trees along Anzac Ave and Cecily St.

The developer is also prohibited from allowing access to several buildings from Brays Rd, and the buildings’ uses are restricted to those noted in the development’s proposal.
