A CUDDLY Koala has been spotted outside a suburban grocery store in the middle of the day in Brisbane’s north.

Melissa Wilkinson said she spotted the koala outside the Rothwell IGA around 12.30pm on Friday.

“It actually made me feel a bit sad to see it there,” she said.

“And a little angry because its home has probably been cut down due to development in the area.”

Ms Wilkinson said a bystander had called a wildlife service to come and assess the animal.
