One little Queensland boy loves Christmas so much he watches Christmas movies and wears Christmas socks all year round.
Five-year-old Jackson loves everything about it the festive occasion such as the tinsel, the lights, the gingerbread, the tree, and the little presents.
Sadly, Christmas 2023 was a difficult time for Jackson and his family, as he underwent specialist treatment for Wilms Tumour — a rare kidney cancer.
Mum Brooke said, “it is really hard for Jackson, being isolated from his family”.
“He isn’t really allowed to go anywhere or do anything,” she said.
“He was completely removed from his whole life, and he didn’t know why.”
Jackson’s family relocated to Brisbane from Darwin recently so he can fight for his life in hospital.
Brooke said the family was determined to make Christmas count next year thanks to Make-A-Wish Foundation to make up for this year’s loss.
The foundation is helping make his wish come true to take a winter wonderland snow trip to Mt Hotham in 2024.
The trip will be made possible through charity partners Blooms The Chemist.
People can visit any Blooms The Chemist to help critically ill children like Jackson via its Christmas bauble campaign.
People can buy bauble tokens for $2 and $5 feature different designs and can be personalised with the name of the donor with all proceeds being donated to Make-A-Wish Australia.
