The court heard Hill’s increased dependence on drugs over the last six months drove him to commit the slew of offences in Bracken Ridge and Chermside and between April 18 and August 23, including unlawfully entering and stealing from Dominos Pizza.

Hill entered the ‘staff only’ section of Dominos Bracken Ridge at about 8.30pm that evening with another unnamed offender, and removed a set of keys belonging to a company-owned car.

Hill got in the passenger side of the car as the other alleged offender drove it away from the store and crashed it into a gutter 20 metres away.

According to police prosecutor Troy Newman the car was so damaged from the crash it would no longer start, so Hill fled on foot.

Police found Hill 200 metres away.

19-year-old Beau Alexander Hill said he was actively taking steps to curb his methamphetamine use.
