Police closed off part of a major arterial road south of Brisbane for more than three hours after two car crashes within 800m of each other in which three people were taken to hospital.
Five ambulances were called to parts of Yarrabilba and Logan Village this morning just after 7am when two cars collided on Waterford-Tamborine Rd outside the Green Frog Hollow Cafe near Tempera Place.
An elderly man was taken to Gold Coast Hospital in a serious but stable condition with hip injuries and a teenage boy taken was taken to PA Hospital with foot injuries.
Ambulances were on their way to another incident in the area in which two cars collided and one rolled just after 7am.
A woman was taken to Logan Hospital after the incident at near Camp Cable Rd and Yarrabilba Dr.
Police closed off a section of Waterford-Tamborine Road at Yarrabilba after the two crashes and warned motorists that traffic in the area was being diverted.
All roads into Yarrabilba were reopened just after 10.30am on Thursday.
