A Logan family are in shock after a brutal attack inside their Waterford home which left a young father in hospital with serious head injuries.
Police said four men entered a house in Nova St, on Thursday afternoon and attacked a 19-year-old man at the front door, before heading inside and fighting a 21-year-old man.
Both men were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital where the 19-year-old underwent emergency head surgery.
A 24-year-old woman at the house said on Facebook that she was busy giving her partner CPR when the group fled in a red hatchback after stealing some items from the house.
It is believed children were in the house and injured during the attack and neighbours, who cannot be named, said an adult man was tasered.
Police said the investigations into the incident were at an early stage and could not confirm the use of a taser but asked neighbours for any CCTV footage of the street during the day.
It is the second brutal attack on a family in the area in six months.
In July, a Holmview man was left with a fractured skull after a terrifying home invasion, with a 25-year-old man later charged.
