Trinity College teacher stood down over child grooming charges

The principal of a Logan college has written a letter to parents, confirming one of their teachers has been charged with a number of child grooming and indecent treatment of children charges.
Trinity College principal Chris Raju informed parents today, August 3.
“Dear parents and carers, you may be aware of a recent media report on a member of our staff, who is currently on leave from (the college).
“This staff member has been suspended from duties, and the matter is before the court.
“The alleged offences occurred before the staff member started with Brisbane Catholic Education.
“We are not aware of any complaints related to the staff member’s time at the college.
“Our priority remains the wellbeing of your children and our school community.
“If you wish to raise any concerns about this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.”
Trinity College declined to comment further.
