Two women are recovering this morning after being tied up with cable ties by a man with a knife in their Beenleigh warehouse store.
MANHUNT AFTER BRUTAL PUB PUNCH-UP
The women watched in horror as a man entered their George St store brandishing a knife and allegedly threatening the pair, demanding money, before taking cable ties from the shelf.
The women handed over cash from the till before he pushed them into another room and bound them with the cable ties.
He then allegedly forced the pair to provide him with access to a safe which he took additional cash from.
He left them tied up and took their mobile phones before fleeing the store around 4.40pm.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged an hour later after police investigations at a Slacks Creek property in Snowden St, where the women’s mobiles and some cash were recovered.
The man was charged with a range of offences including deprivation of liberty, common assault, stealing, armed robbery and entering a premises to commit an offence.
He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court this morning.
