A Logan man has been charged with a range of offences after an alleged drive-by shooting in Loganlea this week.

The 48-year-old was arrested at a Springwood address, three days after reports to police of a number of shots being fired in Jellicoe St, Loganlea.

The man was refused police bail and due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Logan detectives allege the shots were fired around 7.50pm on March 4 but said nobody was injured.

He was charged with breach of bail, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of an explosive, namely ammunition, whilst not being authorised.

His arrest followed the release of CCTV footage of the incident.

“There is no ongoing threat to the public,” a police spokesman said on Monday.

In the CCTV vision, a car can be seen pulling up outside a Jellicoe St address, where an argument broke out before the alleged shots were fired.

The car is then seen driving away.

The footage also allegedly shows the car return a short time later when more shots are allegedly fired.

It is understood small children were inside the home at the time of the shooting.
