SOUTHS Logan Magpies playmaker Rhys Jacks will make his rugby league debut for Canada next month.
Jacks will line up alongside his brother, Ryley, also making his debut, for the first time in organised rugby league.
“I’ve been picked at dummy-half and Ryley will play halfback,” Rhys said.
“We haven’t played rugby league together so to do that in an international fixture is going to be awesome.
“Dad was born in Toronto and we always knew that but I’d never really thought about playing for Canada until about three years ago.

“We had to put down our national eligibility in under-20s and someone put down Canada for me and then I got a call from Canada to say that they were interested in me playing for them.
Rhys said he and his brother had already developed combinations in the backyard, touch football and rugby league 9s, and would look to unleash them.
“We will play against Jamaica and the US in World Cup qualifiers in Jacksonville on December 8 and December 12,” he said.
“There is one spot and three teams so if we win both games we’ll go through.”
Ryley, who did pre-season training with the Melbourne Storm, has signed with the Sunshine Coast Falcons for next year’s Intrust Super Cup campaign.
