Slacks Creek crash victim identified as Abel Prassler

The motorcyclist who died in a horror crash just minutes from his workplace south of Brisbane on Friday has been identified as a 30-year-old who had just become engaged.

The 30-year-old Bethania man who died following a two-vehicle crash at Slacks Creek yesterday has been identified as Abel Prassler.

Police say that just before 7am Mr Prassler was travelling southbound on Compton Rd when the motorbike he was riding collided with a red Nissan hatchback which was travelling northbound.

Police and emergency services attended but sadly Mr Prassler was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Albert & Logan News understand Mr Prassler was just minutes away from his workplace, the Honda motorcycle dealership when the crash occurred.

He had proposed to his girlfriend Sarah Olguin in December last year.

A 64-year-old Slacks Creek woman who was driving the car was not injured in the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate.
