The Pub Lane Tavern at Greenbank closed its doors at 5pm this afternoon saying it would reopen after a deep cleanse but gave no date.

Management said the team member was last at the hotel yesterday and on Wednesday, August 26.

“As a licensed venue, we already have very high standards of cleaning and hygiene in place, and the venue has a detailed deep-clean scheduled overnight tonight,” the manager said.

“We have provided Queensland Health with contact details of staff and customers at the hotel between 10am on Wednesday, August 26 August to midnight on Thursday, August 27.

“The wellbeing of our guests, team and communities is our highest priority, and in line with public health advice, we are taking all necessary steps to ensure ongoing safety in our venue.”

The pub urged all customers to help with contact tracing to download the COVIDSafe app.

Anyone who visited Pub Lane Tavern between Wednesday, August 26 and midnight on Thursday who have since displayed symptoms, or do so in the next two weeks, are urged to contact the COVID hotline on 13 42 68.
